“Essential” – such a lovely word.
“Necessary, needed, a must, of the essence”
Essential describes all of the above.
Over at ATA, we have a jacket that we think is an essential.
The story goes that one day at the 40’s of the last century, Erich Muller needed a jacket, so he sketched one up and named it “essential”.
We “borrowed” the name and created one inspired by his (his was with short sleeves).
Ours looks more like “la veste de travail” which is a blue workwear style jacket that almost anyone who worked anywhere had such.
A work wear jacket, solid, weaved out of Drill cotton, with 4 pockets, 3 exteriors and one interior.
Essential.
